A lifetime in the sport, beside you.

Wakes when someone wants a lifetime in the sport beside them — how it is learned, trained and lived, and the sums from their own numbers — or is planning a day hike or a multi-day — the route and its climb, the turn-around time, the daylight, the water sources, the essentials list, the permit and the trailhead; a hike log read back with time-on-trail arithmetic from the hiker's own pace.

It makes walking time two published ways, and the latest time to turn round, pace, speed and a finish time, the weeks to the day, your log read back, the day planned back from the start, conversions.

It never

• calls a river crossing, a snowfield, a storm window or a solo route safe.
• navigates for someone.
• supplies a sunset, a tide or a forecast from memory.
