IT CAN BE WRONG an AI reading a text file: it can be wrong and can invent a number, a rule, a name or a date; check what matters against your own records and the source; the risk is yours. THE-CLAUSES.md rides in the packet and is part of the licence.

CITE THIS CARDTHE BLACK HOLE CARD, Edition 1. Lund Studio LLC, Westminster, Colorado. https://lundr.tech/?view=black-hole-card. Punch 71258316A36CC7DCA41E372B. Retrieved 2026-10-11.
What it is.
Works out a black hole's horizon: size gives its radius, 2GM/c², and area for any mass; entropy gives the information the horizon holds, a quarter of its area in Planck units, in bits, by the horizon-entropy law of 1972 to 1974; evaporate gives the temperature of the glow a horizon gives off and the time it would take to give its mass away; bits runs it backwards to the smallest horizon that could hold a number of bits.
It carries a machine that shows its working: size — radius and area; entropy — the bits it holds; evaporate — its temperature and lifetime; bits — the horizon for N bits — 8 checks in its selftest, every command on the record. It will never give a spinning hole's size as this; never say today's holes are shrinking; never treat the glow as observed. It never helps design, make, grow, enhance or spread a pathogen or toxin, or plan work meant to harm.
Six laws, written into the card.
They are in the card itself, so the AI follows them.
NO SPIN, NO CHARGEThe plain horizon, r = 2GM/c²; a spinning hole's is smaller.
A QUARTER OF THE AREAThe horizon holds A/4 in Planck units of information; the card gives it in bits.
COLDER THAN THE SKYA hole of a star's mass glows at billionths of a kelvin, colder than the 2.7 K background, so today it takes in more than it gives.
NOT YET SEENThe glow has never been observed; it is a prediction the card computes.
TWICE THE MASS, FOUR TIMES THE INFORMATIONArea goes as mass squared.
SAGITTARIUS A*The Milky Way's own, 4.3 million suns, is in the checks.
What rides in the card.
In the card’s own voice, with a machine that shows its working.

THE MACHINEblackhole.py · four commandssize — radius and area; entropy — the bits it holds; evaporate — its temperature and lifetime; bits — the horizon for N bits. Every command prints its working and refuses a bad input; 8 checks in its selftest, every command on the record.
What it does once your AI has it.
size Radius and area
entropy The bits it holds
evaporate Its temperature and lifetime
bits The horizon for N bits
On the record Sagittarius A*'s horizon is 12.7 million km in radius; a one-sun hole holds 1.5 × 10⁷⁷ bits, glows at 62 billionths of a kelvin and would last 2 × 10⁶⁷ years alone; a billion bits need a horizon far smaller than a proton.
What it will never do.
It will never give a spinning hole's size as this; never say today's holes are shrinking; never treat the glow as observed. It never helps design, make, grow, enhance or spread a pathogen or toxin, or plan work meant to harm.
An isolated hole: matter falling in, spin and charge are left out, and the lifetime is the simplest photon-only estimate. It is an AI reading a text file: it can be wrong, so check what matters against your own records and the source.

In Claude: turn on code execution under Settings › Capabilities, then Customize › Skills › + › Create skill, and upload the zip as it is — START-HERE.md in the box walks you through it, and tells you how to keep the ledger. In ChatGPT, Gemini and the rest: a Project, a GPT or a Gem with the card’s files attached and the short door in the box pasted as its instructions. Sold as is under the term printed. A card instructs an AI you operate; results depend on your model, your files and your judgement. Not medical, legal, tax or financial advice, never the person’s boss, and not a licence to practise. The terms →
One payment. The file is yours to keep and keeps working at its edition; new editions issued in the year after you buy reach you by email as replacement files. Tax is added at checkout where it applies. Nothing auto-renews.

size · RADIUS AND AREA
$ python3 scripts/blackhole.py size 4.297e6 suns
4.297e6 suns: horizon radius 1.269 × 10^10 m (1.269 × 10^7 km) · area 2.024 × 10^21 m²
entropy · THE BITS IT HOLDS
$ python3 scripts/blackhole.py entropy 1 suns
1 suns: the horizon holds 1.513 × 10^77 bits (S = k A / 4 l_P² = 1.448 × 10^54 J/K)
evaporate · ITS TEMPERATURE AND LIFETIME
$ python3 scripts/blackhole.py evaporate 1 suns
1 suns: the horizon glows at 6.170 × 10^-8 K · alone it would last 2.096 × 10^67 years (6.613 × 10^74 s) · colder than the 2.7 K sky, so for now it takes in more than it gives
bits · THE HORIZON FOR N BITS
$ python3 scripts/blackhole.py bits 1e9
1e+09 bits need a horizon of at least 7.243 × 10^-61 m² (radius 2.401 × 10^-31 m): a black hole of 1.616 × 10^-4 kg

QUESTIONS AT THE TABLE
Asked before the wire.
What does it need from me?
Size <mass> · the horizon. It asks first for a mass in suns, earths or kilograms; or a number of bits.
Does it send anything anywhere?
No. The machine is a standard-library Python program that runs on your own computer and sends nothing anywhere; the words run wherever an AI reads Markdown. No server, no account, no key.
What is on the record?
The self-test (8/8) and every command run on real example inputs, pasted into WITNESS.md as they printed; the punch on the face is the SHA-256 of SKILL.md, so a downloaded copy can be checked against this room.
Can it be wrong?
Yes — it is an AI reading a text file. An isolated hole: matter falling in, spin and charge are left out, and the lifetime is the simplest photon-only estimate.
What will it never do?
It will never give a spinning hole's size as this; never say today's holes are shrinking; never treat the glow as observed. It never helps design, make, grow, enhance or spread a pathogen or toxin, or plan work meant to harm.
