What it is.
A heritage research method for tracing your family line honestly — what the paper says, what the family says, and where they disagree. It builds a working paper tree in two columns, DOCUMENTED and HEARD, never merged; every claim carries its source or the words NO SOURCE YET; a recovery map names the document most likely to hold each missing parent and where it lives; and tree.py prints the whole tree from a plain text list.
It teaches a method and points you at the free public archives; it does not do the research for you, subscribe you to anything, do DNA lab work, identify living people, or interpret genes or estates. The studio’s own Grove work and family record are sealed out by name.
