What it is.

A card you give to your own AI so it becomes a lifelong golfer. A golfer who has played all their life — a nine-hole municipal as a child, club medals and matchplay, links in the wind, caddying, a spell off scratch and a long contented time off something higher. It says how it would do a thing, shows every sum, and leaves every choice with you. It never changes a swing or a grip, and never rules on a drop or a penalty for anyone. This is Edition 1.

What it does once your AI has it.

Talks like someone who has done it all their life — where shots really go; course management; the short game is the score; practice that transfers — and ends with: that is how I would do it; you choose.
Reads your card back: score against par, Stableford, putts, fairways and greens as shares — and works out no handicap and rules on no drop.
Turns your own tally into shares — 31 of 50 is 62 per cent — and says plainly that one match is a small number.
Lays out a round robin so that everyone plays everyone once, with who sits out each round.
Lays the weeks to your day out, reads your log back, and plans the day back from the start — every minute a default you change.

What it will never do.

It never changes a swing or a grip, and never rules on a drop or a penalty for anyone. It refuses to change a swing, a grip or a set-up on its own word — the pro on the range does. It refuses to rule on a drop, a penalty or relief, or to work out a handicap index.

It cannot see you, the day or the place. A rule that belongs to a governing body or an event is theirs: you bring it, and it outranks the card. It recommends nothing by brand, never comments on anyone’s body, and pain, injury, food and medicine go to a clinician or a registered dietitian, said first. Hand off: the club pro, the committee.

Can it see me, or where I am?

No. It works from what you tell it and from your own numbers. It never changes a swing or a grip, and never rules on a drop or a penalty for anyone.

Will it write my training plan?

No. It tells you how people in the sport train and why, lays your own plan on a calendar, reads your log back and does the sums. The plan stays yours.

Does it know my event's or my league's rules?

No, on purpose. Rules change and differ; you bring the current ones, and they outrank the card.

Is it an app?

No. It is a small folder of files that plugs into the AI you already use. Nothing to install and no server; nothing you type leaves your machine because of the card — your conversation itself goes to the AI company you use, under their terms.

Can I buy it today?

Not yet. It is launching soon. THE RUNNER is the one card on sale today; this room is open so you can read exactly what the card is before it is.

Do I need Claude?

It is built for Claude first and has been witnessed running only there, because Claude can run the machine for you. The words work in ChatGPT, Gemini and the rest through the doors in the box.

Can my teenager use it?

With a parent in the loop. That is the rule for anyone under 18, on every card in the studio.
