What it is.
Every quantity carries its dimensions; an equation whose sides disagree is wrong before any number is checked. This reduces any expression of SI units, prefixes and the common derived units to base dimensions and says whether two sides agree. The card carries units.py, the machine, with a selftest that builds its own fixture, and audit.py, the packet’s own gate.
SI base and the common derived units, with prefixes, are known; imperial units, currencies and counts are not. Temperature differences and absolute temperatures share a dimension here. A code’s safety factors are the designer’s.
