THE LAWS OF MOTION CARD · pushes, stops, collisions and throws
WAKES WHEN someone asks about stopping distances, collisions, pushes or how far a throw goes
THE LOOP
force <N> <kg> · what the push does
stop <speed> · reacting plus braking
collide · momentum kept, energy counted
throw <speed> <angle> · range and height
say what air and slope would change
NEVER
Give a stopping distance without the reaction
Lose momentum in a collision
Pretend there is no air when it matters
IT MAKES force — acceleration, and the time and distance to a speed; stop — reacting plus braking; collide — speeds after, momentum and energy; throw — range, height and time.
THE STANDARD f = ma; momentum is kept; speed squares the stop; reaction first; grip is the road; without air, said.

IT CAN BE WRONG an AI reading a text file: it can be wrong and can invent a number, a rule, a name or a date; check what matters against your own records and the source; the risk is yours. THE-CLAUSES.md rides in the packet and is part of the licence.

What it is.
Works out the three laws of motion of 1687: force gives what a push does to a mass and the time and distance to reach a speed; stop gives the distance to stop from a speed on dry, wet or icy grip, the reaction distance included; collide gives what two bodies do when they meet head on, sticking or bouncing, with momentum kept and the lost energy counted; throw gives a throw's range, height and flight time on level ground.
It carries a machine that shows its working: force — acceleration, and the time and distance to a speed; stop — reacting plus braking; collide — speeds after, momentum and energy; throw — range, height and time — 8 checks in its selftest, every command on the record. It will never give a stopping distance without the reaction; never lose momentum in a collision; never pretend there is no air when it matters. It never helps design, make, grow, enhance or spread a pathogen or toxin, or plan work meant to harm.
Six laws, written into the card.
They are in the card itself, so the AI follows them.
F = MAA force changes motion; the same push moves a lighter thing faster.
MOMENTUM IS KEPTIn every collision the total before equals the total after; only motion energy goes to heat and dents.
SPEED SQUARES THE STOPTwice the speed needs four times the braking distance; the card says so with the numbers.
REACTION FIRSTA driver travels at full speed before braking starts; the card counts that distance too.
GRIP IS THE ROADAbout 0.7 dry, 0.4 wet, 0.1 ice; the owner sets their own.
WITHOUT AIR, SAIDThrows are worked without air and the card says so; real balls fall short.
What rides in the card.
In the card’s own voice, with a machine that shows its working.

THE MACHINEmotion.py · four commandsforce — acceleration, and the time and distance to a speed; stop — reacting plus braking; collide — speeds after, momentum and energy; throw — range, height and time. Every command prints its working and refuses a bad input; 8 checks in its selftest, every command on the record.
What it does once your AI has it.
force Acceleration, and the time and distance to a speed
stop Reacting plus braking
collide Speeds after, momentum and energy
throw Range, height and time
On the record 5,000 N on a 1,500 kg car reaches 100 km/h in 8.3 s; it stops from 100 km/h in 97.9 m dry and much farther wet; two cars meeting head on and sticking move off at 8 m/s with momentum kept; a 20 m/s throw at 45° goes 40.8 m.
What it will never do.
It will never give a stopping distance without the reaction; never lose momentum in a collision; never pretend there is no air when it matters. It never helps design, make, grow, enhance or spread a pathogen or toxin, or plan work meant to harm.
Straight lines and level ground: no air in throws, no slopes in stops, collisions head on. A stopping distance is a floor for a good driver on a good car; it is not a safety margin. It is an AI reading a text file: it can be wrong, so check what matters against your own records and the source.

force · ACCELERATION, AND THE TIME AND DISTANCE TO A SPEED
$ python3 scripts/motion.py force 5000 1500 --to 100 km/h
5000 N on 1500 kg: 3.333 m/s² (0.34 g)
from rest to 27.78 m/s takes 8.333 s over 115.7 m, with nothing pushing back
stop · REACTING PLUS BRAKING
$ python3 scripts/motion.py stop 100 km/h
100 km/h with grip 0.7: 41.7 m while reacting (1.5 s) + 56.2 m braking = 97.9 m to stop
grip is the tyre on the road: about 0.7 dry asphalt, 0.4 wet, 0.1 ice; double the speed, four times the braking
stop · REACTING PLUS BRAKING
$ python3 scripts/motion.py stop 100 km/h --grip 0.4
100 km/h with grip 0.4: 41.7 m while reacting (1.5 s) + 98.4 m braking = 140.0 m to stop
grip is the tyre on the road: about 0.7 dry asphalt, 0.4 wet, 0.1 ice; double the speed, four times the braking
collide · SPEEDS AFTER, MOMENTUM AND ENERGY
$ python3 scripts/motion.py collide 1500 20 1000 -10 --stick
before: 1500 kg at 20 m/s and 1000 kg at -10 m/s · momentum 20000 kg m/s
after (e = 0): 8 m/s and 8 m/s · momentum 20000 kg m/s, the same
motion energy 3.5e+05 J before, 8e+04 J after: 2.7e+05 J went to heat, sound and dents
throw · RANGE, HEIGHT AND TIME
$ python3 scripts/motion.py throw 20 45
20 m/s at 45°: lands 40.79 m away after 2.88 s, 10.20 m up at the top · without air; 45° goes farthest

QUESTIONS AT THE TABLE
Asked before the wire.
What does it need from me?
Force <N> <kg> · what the push does. It asks first for the force and the mass; or the speed and the grip; or the two masses and speeds; or the throw's speed and angle.
Does it send anything anywhere?
No. The machine is a standard-library Python program that runs on your own computer and sends nothing anywhere; the words run wherever an AI reads Markdown. No server, no account, no key.
What is on the record?
The self-test (8/8) and every command run on real example inputs, pasted into WITNESS.md as they printed; the punch on the face is the SHA-256 of SKILL.md, so a downloaded copy can be checked against this room.
Can it be wrong?
Yes — it is an AI reading a text file. Straight lines and level ground: no air in throws, no slopes in stops, collisions head on. A stopping distance is a floor for a good driver on a good car; it is not a safety margin.
What will it never do?
It will never give a stopping distance without the reaction; never lose momentum in a collision; never pretend there is no air when it matters. It never helps design, make, grow, enhance or spread a pathogen or toxin, or plan work meant to harm.
