What it is.
Makes three documents from one record, with nothing to install: a record written once in plain Markdown with a front matter block (title, author, date) — headings, paragraphs, lists, bold and italic — comes out as clean Markdown with the byline under the title, as a Word document (.docx) with real headings, real bullets and numbering and the document's title in its properties, and as a US Letter PDF with headings, lists and page numbers, each in the plain dress or the house dress; check opens what was written and reads it back — the Word file's parts as well-formed XML and its paragraphs, the PDF's cross-reference table, its pages and its fonts.
It carries a machine that shows its working: md — clean Markdown, the byline under the title; docx — the Word document; pdf — the PDF, paged and numbered; check — the file read back: WHOLE or NOT WHOLE — 11 checks in its selftest, every command on the record. It will never ask a buyer to install anything; never hand over a file it has not read back; never change the words between the three.

The PDF uses the standard fonts every reader carries, so it holds Latin script; other scripts, pictures, tables and footnotes are beyond this edition — use a word processor for those. Line breaks in the PDF are set from an estimate of the fonts' widths, kept generous so no line overruns. The Word file opens in Word, Pages, Google Docs and LibreOffice. It is an AI reading a text file: it can be wrong, so check what matters against your own records and the source.

What does it need from me?
Write the record once, in Markdown. It asks first for the record — a Markdown file that starts with --- title: … author: … date: … --- — and the dress.
Does it send anything anywhere?
No. The machine is a standard-library Python program that runs on your own computer and sends nothing anywhere; the words run wherever an AI reads Markdown. No server, no account, no key.
What is on the record?
The self-test (11/11) and every command run on real example inputs, pasted into WITNESS.md as they printed; the punch on the face is the SHA-256 of SKILL.md, so a downloaded copy can be checked against this room.
Can it be wrong?
