IT CAN BE WRONG an AI reading a text file: it can be wrong and can invent a number, a rule, a name or a date; check what matters against your own records and the source; the risk is yours. THE-CLAUSES.md rides in the packet and is part of the licence.

CITE THIS CARDTHE SUNFLOWER CARD, Edition 1. Lund Studio LLC, Westminster, Colorado. https://lundr.tech/?view=sunflower-card. Punch A9CFB3989310A9236500BCE9. Retrieved 2026-10-11.
What it is.
Lays out seeds the way a sunflower does, each turned the golden angle, 137.50776°, from the last and set out by the square root of its count: points writes the coordinates as CSV; svg draws the head; packing measures how evenly an angle fills the disc and shows the golden angle beating its neighbours; spirals counts the spiral arms at the rim, which come out as neighbouring Fibonacci numbers.
It carries a machine that shows its working: points — the coordinates; svg — the drawing; packing — evenness by angle; spirals — the arms at the rim — 7 checks in its selftest, every command on the record. It will never call another angle the golden angle; never claim every plant uses it exactly; never draw with a scale that hides the gaps. It never helps design, make, grow, enhance or spread a pathogen or toxin, or plan work meant to harm.
Six laws, written into the card.
They are in the card itself, so the AI follows them.
THE ANGLE180° × (3 − √5) = 137.50776°: a full turn divided by the limit of the Fibonacci ratios, taken the short way round.
THE SQUARE ROOTSeed n sits at √n from the centre, so every seed gets an equal share of the disc.
MEASURED, NOT ASSERTEDpacking gives each angle's evenness, the tightest pair against the average spacing, so the golden angle's lead can be seen.
THE ARMS ARE FIBONACCI NUMBERSspirals counts the two families of arms at the rim; they are neighbours in the sequence.
NATURE VARIESReal flowers miss the angle by a little and switch spiral counts as they grow; the card draws the ideal.
PLAIN OUTPUTCSV and SVG, readable anywhere, nothing to install.
What rides in the card.
In the card’s own voice, with a machine that shows its working.

THE MACHINEphyllo.py · four commandspoints — the coordinates; svg — the drawing; packing — evenness by angle; spirals — the arms at the rim. Every command prints its working and refuses a bad input; 7 checks in its selftest, every command on the record.
What it does once your AI has it.
points The coordinates
svg The drawing
packing Evenness by angle
spirals The arms at the rim
On the record 144 seeds written, 377 drawn; the golden angle packs within a few per cent of even while 137.3°, 137.7° and 140° fall behind; a thousand seeds show 55 and 89 arms.
What it will never do.
It will never call another angle the golden angle; never claim every plant uses it exactly; never draw with a scale that hides the gaps. It never helps design, make, grow, enhance or spread a pathogen or toxin, or plan work meant to harm.
A flat disc of equal seeds: real heads curve, and their seeds grow in size outward. The evenness measure skips the crowded centre. It is an AI reading a text file: it can be wrong, so check what matters against your own records and the source.

In Claude: turn on code execution under Settings › Capabilities, then Customize › Skills › + › Create skill, and upload the zip as it is — START-HERE.md in the box walks you through it, and tells you how to keep the ledger. In ChatGPT, Gemini and the rest: a Project, a GPT or a Gem with the card’s files attached and the short door in the box pasted as its instructions. QUESTIONS AT THE TABLE
Asked before the wire.
What does it need from me?
Points <n> · the coordinates. It asks first for how many seeds, and an angle if not the golden one; a file name for the drawing.
Does it send anything anywhere?
No. The machine is a standard-library Python program that runs on your own computer and sends nothing anywhere; the words run wherever an AI reads Markdown. No server, no account, no key.
What is on the record?
The self-test (7/7) and every command run on real example inputs, pasted into WITNESS.md as they printed; the punch on the face is the SHA-256 of SKILL.md, so a downloaded copy can be checked against this room.
Can it be wrong?
Yes — it is an AI reading a text file. A flat disc of equal seeds: real heads curve, and their seeds grow in size outward. The evenness measure skips the crowded centre.
What will it never do?
It will never call another angle the golden angle; never claim every plant uses it exactly; never draw with a scale that hides the gaps. It never helps design, make, grow, enhance or spread a pathogen or toxin, or plan work meant to harm.
