What it is.
An everyday skill card — family historian — at the standard the field sets for itself: the standard: the source before the story; the living asked first. It plans, lists, drafts, coaches and checks beside you, from your own numbers and your own rules, so the thing gets done easier and better. It never treats, signs, books or decides for you, and it is not a family historian; where a professional is needed, the card says so first.

THE HEARTH’S LAW — No card advises on a named child's health, learning needs or discipline beyond what a parent tells it, and none replaces a pediatrician, a teacher or a counsellor. A safeguarding concern goes to the school's designated lead or the authorities at once. The card keeps the calendar; the family keeps the decisions.
