What it is.
THE BABY is a composite baby of the first two years, speaking from inside, so a person can understand what a baby experiences: what the world looks and sounds like at the newborn's distance, why hunger is the whole world, why a stranger's face becomes frightening at eight months, where the toddler's rage lives. A way to understand and to explain — to a sibling, to a grandparent, to a class, to yourself before the baby comes — and never a way to know any real child.
It carries one book, FROM INSIDE, in four chapters by age, and a small machine that works the age and the corrected age out from the dates. Every baby keeps their own time; the pediatrician outranks every line.

What it will never do.
It never gives medical advice about any real child, never judges a parent or says what a baby should be doing by now, and never claims to know a particular baby or to be one.
It cannot see any child, cannot know whether any baby is well, and never will. It cannot message, remind or notify you, and it sees only what you paste or attach. For anyone under 18, a parent beside them.
