LUND CARDS · THE APPSNº 52 PROPOSED
THE LITR CARD — the LSC-1 face
THE CARD AS TEXT · FOR EYES AND FOR MACHINES

THE LITR CARD · the grade engine · a named grade of your own

WAKES WHEN someone wants a photo look of their own, repeatable, or kept as one file

THE LOOP

  1. new · a sheet from a starter
  2. sheet · the source beside each grade
  3. crops · the anchors, chosen by eye
  4. grade · masters and feed, kept apart
  5. verify, then freeze · the grade, one file

NEVER

  • Hide a number outside the sheet
  • Carry a house grade or another maker's look
  • Fit a frame with a border on the feed

IT MAKES new — a sheet with every field; sheet — the source beside each grade; crops — the centre 4:5 window marked on each photo; grade — masters and 1080 x 1350 feed files; verify — two runs, two hashes: DETERMINISTIC or DRIFT; freeze — the grade as one standalone file.

THE STANDARD every number on the table; one pipeline; proof before a run; same pixel every run; full-bleed, always; yours, not ours.

CITE THIS CARDTHE LITR CARD, Edition 1. Lund Studio LLC, Westminster, Colorado. https://lundr.tech/?view=litr-card. Punch 3050A30267898EE8B7BEFD59. Retrieved 2026-10-11.

What it is.

A colour-grade maker. new writes a grade sheet (JSON, every field) from a starter: ZERO, NOON, DUSK, EMBER or SLATE; sheet makes a proof sheet with the source beside each candidate grade; crops marks the centre 4:5 window on every photo so the feed anchors are chosen by eye; grade runs the sheet through one fixed pipeline (white balance, tone curve, split tone, corona, haze, vignette, hue bands, clarity, bloom, seeded grain, finish) into masters and 1080 x 1350 full-bleed feed files, kept in separate folders; verify grades twice and compares the hashes; freeze writes a single standalone file that is the grade, the same pixel as the engine. PNG in and out.

It carries a machine that shows its working: new — a sheet with every field; sheet — the source beside each grade; crops — the centre 4:5 window marked on each photo; grade — masters and 1080 x 1350 feed files; verify — two runs, two hashes: DETERMINISTIC or DRIFT; freeze — the grade as one standalone file — 8 checks in its selftest, every command on the record. It will never hide a number outside the sheet; never carry a house grade or another maker's look; never fit a frame with a border on the feed.

Six laws, written into the card.

They are in the card itself, so the AI follows them.

EVERY NUMBER ON THE TABLEA grade is its sheet; nothing is hidden in the engine.
ONE PIPELINEThe order of the steps is fixed; a grade is a sheet, never a fork of the engine.
PROOF BEFORE A RUNThe proof sheet is seen before any batch is graded.
SAME PIXEL EVERY RUNThe grain is seeded and verify proves it; a frozen grade matches the engine.
FULL-BLEED, ALWAYSThe feed is a crop at the chosen anchor, never a fitted frame, never a border; masters and posting files never share a folder.
YOURS, NOT OURSThe grades a holder makes are theirs; no house grade rides in this card.

What rides in the card.

In the card’s own voice, with a machine that shows its working.

THE GUIDEreferences/THE-GRADE-SHEET.md
THE MACHINElitr.py · six commandsnew — a sheet with every field; sheet — the source beside each grade; crops — the centre 4:5 window marked on each photo; grade — masters and 1080 x 1350 feed files; verify — two runs, two hashes: DETERMINISTIC or DRIFT; freeze — the grade as one standalone file. Every command prints its working and refuses a bad input; 8 checks in its selftest, every command on the record.

What it does once your AI has it.

  • new A sheet with every field
  • sheet The source beside each grade
  • crops The centre 4:5 window marked on each photo
  • grade Masters and 1080 x 1350 feed files
  • verify Two runs, two hashes: DETERMINISTIC or DRIFT
  • freeze The grade as one standalone file
  • On the record A sheet is written from the DUSK starter and never written over. A proof sheet sets two photos beside MYDUSK, the crops sheet marks the centre 4:5 window, and the grade skips a byte-identical copy and writes two masters and two 1080 x 1350 feed files in separate folders. verify gives one hash twice; the frozen grade, run on its own, gives the same hash; a JPEG is refused.

What it will never do.

It will never hide a number outside the sheet; never carry a house grade or another maker's look; never fit a frame with a border on the feed.

A standard-library rebuild of the September 2026 engine: the same pipeline and starter sheets, not the same pixels as the original, which used imaging libraries and wrote JPEG. PNG only (8-bit grey, RGB, RGBA laid on white); JPEG, HEIC, 16-bit, palette and interlaced PNG and video are refused. Pure Python takes seconds per megapixel, so proof on small copies. The proof and crops sheets carry no lettering; their legend is printed and written into the file. It makes looks, not corrections of skin or faces. It is an AI reading a text file: it can be wrong, so check what matters against your own records and the source.

ON EVERY DOOR · A CARD FOR YOUR AI, A FILE FOR YOUR COMPUTER

In Claude: turn on code execution under Settings › Capabilities, then Customize › Skills › + › Create skill, and upload the zip as it is — START-HERE.md in the box walks you through it, and tells you how to keep the ledger. In ChatGPT, Gemini and the rest: a Project, a GPT or a Gem with the card’s files attached and the short door in the box pasted as its instructions. The words run anywhere an AI reads Markdown; the machines run wherever the host runs Python. Witnessed in Claude only. The host marks →

QUESTIONS AT THE TABLE

Asked before the wire.

What does it need from me?

New · a sheet from a starter. It asks first for the photos as PNG, the look in plain words (the AI writes the numbers into the sheet and shows them), and what the grade must agree with.

Does it send anything anywhere?

No. The machine is a standard-library Python program that runs on your own computer and sends nothing anywhere; the words run wherever an AI reads Markdown. No server, no account, no key.

What is on the record?

The self-test (8/8) and every command run on real example inputs, pasted into WITNESS.md as they printed; the punch on the face is the SHA-256 of SKILL.md, so a downloaded copy can be checked against this room.

Can it be wrong?

Yes — it is an AI reading a text file.

What will it never do?

It will never hide a number outside the sheet; never carry a house grade or another maker's look; never fit a frame with a border on the feed.
