THE DISCLOSURE · the line that says an AI did the work
WAKES WHEN agent-written work goes to people who did not watch it made, or someone asks what to say
THE LOOP
disclosure.py policy · kinds and lines
line --kind · the words for one output
stamp · into a copy; the original stands
check <folder> · the ones that lack it
reviewed is written when a person says so
NEVER
Write "reviewed by a person" on its own
Stamp the original in place
Call the habit a reading of any law
IT MAKES policy — the policy to edit: kinds, the line each takes, where it goes; line — the line for one output; stamp — the line written into a copy; check — every output with or without its line, by kind.
THE STANDARD say so where it is read; the line names the help, the review and the date; reviewed is a person's word; into a copy, never in place; the folder is checked; a habit, not a reading of law.

IT CAN BE WRONG an AI reading a text file: it can be wrong and can invent a number, a rule, a name or a date; check what matters against your own records and the source; the risk is yours. THE-CLAUSES.md rides in the packet and is part of the licence.

What it is.
Keeps the house habit of saying when an AI did the work: a policy that names which kinds of output carry a disclosure line and where (a customer-facing draft or a published page at the foot, an analysis at the head, code in a header comment, an internal note when wanted), the line itself with the help, whether a person reviewed it and the date, a stamp that writes the line into a copy and never into the original, and a check that reads a folder for the outputs that need the line and lack it.
It carries a machine that shows its working: policy — the policy to edit: kinds, the line each takes, where it goes; line — the line for one output; stamp — the line written into a copy; check — every output with or without its line, by kind — 13 checks in its selftest, every command on the record. It will never write "reviewed by a person" on its own; never stamp the original in place; never call the habit a reading of any law.
Six laws, written into the card.
They are in the card itself, so the AI follows them.
SAY SO WHERE IT IS READA customer draft and a page at the foot, an analysis at the head, code in its header.
THE LINE NAMES THE HELP, THE REVIEW AND THE DATEThe line names the help, the review and the date, and nothing it cannot stand behind.
REVIEWED IS A PERSON'S WORDIt is written only when a person says they reviewed it.
INTO A COPY, NEVER IN PLACEThe version without the line still exists.
THE FOLDER IS CHECKEDThe folder is checked, and the outputs that need the line and lack it are named.
A HABIT, NOT A READING OF LAWWhere a rule applies to you, your own counsel reads it.
What rides in the card.

THE MACHINEdisclosure.py · four commandspolicy — the policy to edit: kinds, the line each takes, where it goes; line — the line for one output; stamp — the line written into a copy; check — every output with or without its line, by kind. Every command prints its working and refuses a bad input; 13 checks in its selftest, every command on the record.
What it does once your AI has it.
policy The policy to edit: kinds, the line each takes, where it goes
line The line for one output
stamp The line written into a copy
check Every output with or without its line, by kind
On the record The policy written; a reviewed customer line printed; a note stamped at its foot and a script in its header, each into a copy with the original untouched; the folder checked: the copies carry the line, the page lacks the line it needs and is named MISSING, the internal note is optional.
What it will never do.
It will never write "reviewed by a person" on its own; never stamp the original in place; never call the habit a reading of any law.
The check reads text files by extension and finds the line by its words; a line in other words passes unseen and a binary file is not read. The policy is the house's own; it is not legal advice and does not know which rule applies to any reader. The card writes lines into copies; publishing the copy is the person's act. It is an AI reading a text file: it can be wrong, so check what matters against your own records and the source.

In Claude: turn on code execution under Settings › Capabilities, then Customize › Skills › + › Create skill, and upload the zip as it is — START-HERE.md in the box walks you through it, and tells you how to keep the ledger. In ChatGPT, Gemini and the rest: a Project, a GPT or a Gem with the card’s files attached and the short door in the box pasted as its instructions. Sold as is under the term printed. A card instructs an AI you operate; results depend on your model, your files and your judgement. Not medical, legal, tax or financial advice, never the person’s boss, and not a licence to practise. The terms →
One payment. The file is yours to keep and keeps working at its edition; new editions issued in the year after you buy reach you by email as replacement files. Tax is added at checkout where it applies. Nothing auto-renews.
A TERM, NOT A SUBSCRIPTION: NOTHING RENEWS ITSELF AND NOBODY IS CHARGED AGAIN. WHEN A TERM ENDS THE FILES STAY ON YOUR COMPUTER AND STAY READABLE — FREEZE, NOT LOSS.

QUESTIONS AT THE TABLE
Asked before the wire.
What does it need from me?
Disclosure.py policy · kinds and lines. It asks first for the kinds of output the agent produces, who reads each, and whether a person reviews them.
Does it send anything anywhere?
No. The machine is a standard-library Python program that runs on your own computer and sends nothing anywhere; the words run wherever an AI reads Markdown. No server, no account, no key.
What is on the record?
The self-test (13/13) and every command run on real example inputs, pasted into WITNESS.md as they printed; the punch on the face is the SHA-256 of SKILL.md, so a downloaded copy can be checked against this room.
Can it be wrong?
Yes — it is an AI reading a text file. The check reads text files by extension and finds the line by its words; a line in other words passes unseen and a binary file is not read. The policy is the house's own; it is not legal advice and does not know which rule applies to any reader. The card writes lines into copies; publishing the copy is the person's act.
What will it never do?
It will never write "reviewed by a person" on its own; never stamp the original in place; never call the habit a reading of any law.
