What it is.
A pre-ship gate for words. check reads every text file in a folder against the house's seal list (terms matched as whole words in any case, and /patterns/ for code names and numbers), and with --no-price for a typed price and --no-rune for a runic letter; a sealed word on a line that says never, not included or sealed is allowed, anywhere else it is a leak by file and line, and the folder fails; the report blanks every match, so it can travel without repeating what it caught. seals reads a list back and refuses a pattern that does not compile; example writes a starter list.

On the record The starter list holds four seals and is never written over. A folder of three files gives four leaks (a term, a pattern, a client name inside an SVG and a typed price), each by file and line with the match blanked, while "lanterns" and the line that seals Project Lantern out pass; the clean folder reads HUSHED, and a pattern that does not compile is refused with its line.
What it will never do.
It will never widen the list to let a leak pass; never repeat a sealed word in the report; never call a hushed folder cleared by counsel.
It reads words, not meaning: a sealed idea written in other words passes, and a list is only as good as the house that wrote it. Text inside pictures, PDFs, fonts and archives is not read. A price is caught by its shape (a currency sign or code beside a figure). What does it need from me?
The house writes its SEALS.txt. It asks first for the folder or files about to ship, the house's seal list, and whether prices or runic letters must also stay out.
Does it send anything anywhere?
No. The machine is a standard-library Python program that runs on your own computer and sends nothing anywhere; the words run wherever an AI reads Markdown. No server, no account, no key.
What is on the record?
The self-test (8/8) and every command run on real example inputs, pasted into WITNESS.md as they printed; the punch on the face is the SHA-256 of SKILL.md, so a downloaded copy can be checked against this room.
Can it be wrong?
Yes — it is an AI reading a text file. It reads words, not meaning: a sealed idea written in other words passes, and a list is only as good as the house that wrote it.
