THE MATTER WAVE CARD · every moving thing's wavelength
WAKES WHEN someone asks about matter waves, electron microscopes or wave-particle duality
THE LOOP
wave <particle> <speed> · λ = h/p
electron <volts> · the microscope beam
thermal <particle> <K> · from warmth
compare · electron to baseball
say when the wave can be seen
NEVER
Drop relativity for a fast electron
Claim a baseball's wave can be seen
Give a speed of c or more
IT MAKES wave — the wavelength; electron — an accelerated electron's wavelength; thermal — the thermal wavelength; compare — seven things side by side.
THE STANDARD h is exact; relativity when it matters; the wave needs an obstacle its size; warm things have waves; published checks; refused, not guessed.

What it is.
Works out matter waves, λ = h/p, proposed in 1924 and seen in 1927 when electrons bounced off a nickel crystal: wave gives the wavelength of a particle or object at a speed, relativity included; electron gives the wavelength of an electron pushed through a voltage, the reason electron microscopes see what light cannot; thermal gives the wavelength a particle has just from being warm; compare sets an electron, a neutron, a helium atom, a dust grain and a baseball side by side.
It carries a machine that shows its working: wave — the wavelength; electron — an accelerated electron's wavelength; thermal — the thermal wavelength; compare — seven things side by side — 8 checks in its selftest, every command on the record. It will never drop relativity for a fast electron; never claim a baseball's wave can be seen; never give a speed of c or more. It never helps design, make, grow, enhance or spread a pathogen or toxin, or plan work meant to harm.
Six laws, written into the card.
They are in the card itself, so the AI follows them.
H IS EXACT6.62607015 × 10⁻³⁴ J s since 2019; masses from CODATA 2018.
RELATIVITY WHEN IT MATTERSMomentum is worked relativistically, so a 50 kV microscope beam comes out 5.36 pm.
THE WAVE NEEDS AN OBSTACLE ITS SIZEA wavelength shows only when something about that size is in its way; the card says so.
WARM THINGS HAVE WAVESThe thermal wavelength grows as things cool; past the spacing between atoms, the gas acts as one wave.
PUBLISHED CHECKS0.1226 nm at 100 V; 0.1798 nm for a 2,200 m/s neutron.
REFUSED, NOT GUESSEDA speed of c, a mass of zero or a temperature of zero is refused.
What rides in the card.
In the card’s own voice, with a machine that shows its working.

electron An accelerated electron's wavelength
thermal The thermal wavelength
compare Seven things side by side
On the record An electron through 100 V has a 0.1226 nm wave, atom size; a 50 kV microscope beam 5.36 pm; a thermal neutron 0.180 nm; a helium atom 0.050 nm from warmth alone; a baseball 1.14 × 10⁻³⁴ m.
What it will never do.
It will never drop relativity for a fast electron; never claim a baseball's wave can be seen; never give a speed of c or more. It never helps design, make, grow, enhance or spread a pathogen or toxin, or plan work meant to harm.
Free particles: inside atoms and materials, waves take shapes this card does not draw (THE WAVE FUNCTION CARD). The thermal wavelength is a scale, not a measured size. It is an AI reading a text file: it can be wrong, so check what matters against your own records and the source.

QUESTIONS AT THE TABLE
Asked before the wire.
What does it need from me?
Wave <particle> <speed> · λ = h/p. It asks first for a particle (or a mass in kg) and its speed; or a voltage; or a particle and a temperature.
Does it send anything anywhere?
No. The machine is a standard-library Python program that runs on your own computer and sends nothing anywhere; the words run wherever an AI reads Markdown. No server, no account, no key.
What is on the record?
The self-test (8/8) and every command run on real example inputs, pasted into WITNESS.md as they printed; the punch on the face is the SHA-256 of SKILL.md, so a downloaded copy can be checked against this room.
Can it be wrong?
Yes — it is an AI reading a text file. Free particles: inside atoms and materials, waves take shapes this card does not draw (THE WAVE FUNCTION CARD). The thermal wavelength is a scale, not a measured size.
What will it never do?
It will never drop relativity for a fast electron; never claim a baseball's wave can be seen; never give a speed of c or more. It never helps design, make, grow, enhance or spread a pathogen or toxin, or plan work meant to harm.
