THE OUTBOUND CARD · cold outreach: honest, lawful and short
WAKES WHEN someone writes a cold email or a sequence, or imports a lead list, or asks if it is allowed
THE LOOP
outbound.py leads · the list comes first
the email: short, about them, one ask
check · opt-out, address, subject, words
cadence · dated touches, weekends skipped
stop the moment they say no
NEVER
Write to a bought or scraped list
Fake a reply in the subject line
Send with a placeholder left in
IT MAKES cadence — the dated touches; check — the email against the common rules and the signs of a form letter; leads — required fields, bad addresses, duplicates, role addresses, consent column.
THE STANDARD the list first; a real sender, a real address, an honest subject, a way to say no; short, about them, one ask; no placeholder leaves the building; stop means stop; the rules differ by country, and the card says so.

IT CAN BE WRONG an AI reading a text file: it can be wrong and can invent a number, a rule, a name or a date; check what matters against your own records and the source; the risk is yours. THE-CLAUSES.md rides in the packet and is part of the licence.

What it is.
Plans and checks cold outreach: a dated cadence of touches across email, calls and social with weekends skipped and a plain way to say no; a cold email read for the things that get senders blocked or fined — no opt-out line, no postal address, a fake reply subject, placeholders left in, spam-shaped words, too long, no clear ask, all about us; and a lead list checked for bad addresses, duplicates, role addresses, a missing consent or source column and bought or scraped rows.
It carries a machine that shows its working: cadence — the dated touches; check — the email against the common rules and the signs of a form letter; leads — required fields, bad addresses, duplicates, role addresses, consent column — 14 checks in its selftest, every command on the record. It will never write to a bought or scraped list; never fake a reply in the subject line; never send with a placeholder left in.
Six laws, written into the card.
They are in the card itself, so the AI follows them.
THE LIST FIRSTWhere did each address come from, and may you write to it? A bought or scraped list is never written to.
A REAL SENDER, A REAL ADDRESS, AN HONEST SUBJECT, A WAY TO SAY NOThe floor in every market; the ceiling is counsel's.
SHORT, ABOUT THEM, ONE ASKUnder about 150 words; more you than us; one question.
NO PLACEHOLDER LEAVES THE BUILDING{{first_name}} in a sent email is the end of the conversation.
STOP MEANS STOPStop means stop, the same day, across every channel in the cadence.
THE RULES DIFFER BY COUNTRY, AND THE CARD SAYS SOIt checks the common floor; counsel sets the rule for each market.
What rides in the card.
In the card’s own voice, with a machine that shows its working.

THE MACHINEoutbound.py · three commandscadence — the dated touches; check — the email against the common rules and the signs of a form letter; leads — required fields, bad addresses, duplicates, role addresses, consent column. Every command prints its working and refuses a bad input; 14 checks in its selftest, every command on the record.
What it does once your AI has it.
cadence The dated touches
check The email against the common rules and the signs of a form letter
leads Required fields, bad addresses, duplicates, role addresses, consent column
On the record A four-row lead list refused: a bad address, a duplicate, a role address, a bought-list row and an empty source; a bad draft stopped for a fake reply subject, no opt-out, no address and a placeholder; the rewrite clean; and a six-touch cadence dated over two weeks with no weekend.
What it will never do.
It will never write to a bought or scraped list; never fake a reply in the subject line; never send with a placeholder left in.
The rules differ by country and some markets need consent before the first email, so the check is a floor, not legal advice; counsel sets the rule for each market. A clean email can still be unwelcome — the list is the real test. The postal-address check is a pattern match. It is an AI reading a text file: it can be wrong, so check what matters against your own records and the source.

QUESTIONS AT THE TABLE
Asked before the wire.
What does it need from me?
Outbound.py leads · the list comes first. It asks first for the email as a text file, the lead list as a CSV with where each address came from, and the markets the list is in.
Does it send anything anywhere?
No. The machine is a standard-library Python program that runs on your own computer and sends nothing anywhere; the words run wherever an AI reads Markdown. No server, no account, no key.
What is on the record?
The self-test (14/14) and every command run on real example inputs, pasted into WITNESS.md as they printed; the punch on the face is the SHA-256 of SKILL.md, so a downloaded copy can be checked against this room.
Can it be wrong?
Yes — it is an AI reading a text file. The rules differ by country and some markets need consent before the first email, so the check is a floor, not legal advice; counsel sets the rule for each market. A clean email can still be unwelcome — the list is the real test. The postal-address check is a pattern match.
What will it never do?
It will never write to a bought or scraped list; never fake a reply in the subject line; never send with a placeholder left in.
