THE CANOPY CARD · partner commerce: the money, written down
WAKES WHEN a shop takes partners on commission or stock, or a partner asks what they are owed and why
THE LOOP
tag <url> --partner · the marked link
landing <ledger> <url> · a click, 34 days
order · attributed or not, with the reason
settle --rate · owed per partner; the CSV
ladder --slots --floor · the rung named
NEVER
Attribute an order outside the window
Compute what is owed with no rate on record
Move money — the ledger is the copy you check
IT MAKES tag — the partner's link, marked; landing — a landing read for its mark; the click written, the window named; order — an order written: attributed inside the window, or not, with the reason; settle — clicks, orders, revenue, owed per partner; the payout run as CSV; ladder — each partner's rung on the 34- and 89-day windows.
THE STANDARD the window is thirty-four days; no rate, no figure; the ladder is read, not felt; the platform's statement pays; a mark is a word; the ledger appends.

What it is.
Keeps the ledger of partner commerce on two rails: tags a partner's link with their mark; reads a landing for the mark and holds the click for thirty-four days; writes an order as attributed when a click of that partner stands inside the window, or as not attributed with the reason; settles a period per partner — clicks, orders, revenue and what is owed at the rate the agreement sets, with no figure for a partner who has no rate on record — and writes the payout run as CSV; reads the ladder from revenue per slot-day over the last 34 and 89 days and names the rung: COMMISSION (sold by the maker, the link carries the mark), STOCKED (sold here, shipped by them), OWNED (bought in and sold as our own).
It carries a machine that shows its working: tag — the partner's link, marked; landing — a landing read for its mark; the click written, the window named; order — an order written: attributed inside the window, or not, with the reason; settle — clicks, orders, revenue, owed per partner; the payout run as CSV; ladder — each partner's rung on the 34- and 89-day windows — 15 checks in its selftest, every command on the record. It will never attribute an order outside the window; never compute what is owed with no rate on record; never move money — the ledger is the copy you check.
Six laws, written into the card.
They are in the card itself, so the AI follows them.
THE WINDOW IS THIRTY-FOUR DAYSA click older than that attributes nothing; an order with no click is written down as not attributed, with the reason, never dropped.
NO RATE, NO FIGUREWhat is owed is computed at the rate the agreement sets; a partner with no rate on record gets clicks, orders and revenue, and the words "no rate on record".
THE LADDER IS READ, NOT FELTRevenue per slot-day over the last 34 and 89 days; STOCKED at the floor on both, OWNED at twice the floor on both with no gap over thirteen days; COMMISSION otherwise.
THE PLATFORM'S STATEMENT PAYSWhere a commission platform sits in the middle, its statement is what is paid on; this ledger is the copy it is checked against.
A MARK IS A WORDA mark is a word, two to forty letters, digits, hyphens or underscores; a link carries one mark, and a stale mark is dropped when a new one is set.
THE LEDGER APPENDSNothing is rewritten; a wrong line is answered by a right one with its date.
What rides in the card.
In the card’s own voice, with a machine that shows its working.

THE MACHINEmanifold.py · five commandstag — the partner's link, marked; landing — a landing read for its mark; the click written, the window named; order — an order written: attributed inside the window, or not, with the reason; settle — clicks, orders, revenue, owed per partner; the payout run as CSV; ladder — each partner's rung on the 34- and 89-day windows. Every command prints its working and refuses a bad input; 15 checks in its selftest, every command on the record.
What it does once your AI has it.
tag The partner's link, marked
landing A landing read for its mark; the click written, the window named
order An order written: attributed inside the window, or not, with the reason
settle Clicks, orders, revenue, owed per partner; the payout run as CSV
ladder Each partner's rung on the 34- and 89-day windows
On the record A link marked for a partner; a landing on it written as a click with its window; one order inside the window attributed, one after it written as not attributed with the reason, one for a partner with no click likewise; the settlement owed at twenty percent for the partner with a rate and gave no figure for the one without; the ladder named each rung from revenue per slot-day.
What it will never do.
It will never attribute an order outside the window; never compute what is owed with no rate on record; never move money — the ledger is the copy you check.
The ledger holds what was written into it: a landing someone forgot to record attributes nothing, and an order typed with the wrong partner attributes wrongly. It moves no money and signs no agreement; the rate, the window and the floor are the owner's, and the agreement with a partner is the paper that binds. Not legal or tax advice. It is an AI reading a text file: it can be wrong, so check what matters against your own records and the source.

QUESTIONS AT THE TABLE
Asked before the wire.
What does it need from me?
Tag <url> --partner · the marked link. It asks first for the partner's mark, the agreed rate, the slots a partner holds and the floor the owner sets for the ladder.
Does it send anything anywhere?
No. The machine is a standard-library Python program that runs on your own computer and sends nothing anywhere; the words run wherever an AI reads Markdown. No server, no account, no key.
What is on the record?
The self-test (15/15) and every command run on real example inputs, pasted into WITNESS.md as they printed; the punch on the face is the SHA-256 of SKILL.md, so a downloaded copy can be checked against this room.
Can it be wrong?
Yes — it is an AI reading a text file.
What will it never do?
It will never attribute an order outside the window; never compute what is owed with no rate on record; never move money — the ledger is the copy you check.
