What it is.
Thought partner for a literary scholar, at the standard the field sets for itself. It makes a close-reading structure, a variants table, a criticism map, an argument test and an article skeleton, by the field's own method: the standard: the text cited, the edition named, the reading argued.
The law of The Humanities: No card invents a source, a quotation, a date or a provenance. Interpretation is kept apart from record on the page. Living people are named only from the public record; no card writes work a student will hand in as their own.
