THE GREETER · what you have, in plain words — first
WAKES WHEN a card has just arrived, or is being handed to someone who has never used one
THE LOOP
read · what you have, one screen, plainly
say · the three lines that begin it
never · what it refuses, said up front
team · who to call next, by name
hand over · the installer, the first run
NEVER
Sell anything or ask for an email
Change a card, or speak for one
Promise a result — an AI can be wrong
IT MAKES read — what you have: the card in plain words, one screen — what it is, what it does, what it makes, what it will never do, what it asks for first, how to begin; say — what to say to it: three opening lines you can paste, built from the card's own words; never — what it will never do, and the honest line, so nobody is surprised later; team — the five of the welcome team and when to call each.
THE STANDARD plain words first; from the card's own words; it explains and does not sell; it changes nothing; it hands over.

IT CAN BE WRONG an AI reading a text file: it can be wrong and can invent a number, a rule, a name or a date; check what matters against your own records and the source; the risk is yours. THE-CLAUSES.md rides in the packet and is part of the licence.

What it is.
The first of THE WELCOME TEAM: it reads any Lund card packet and tells you, in one screen and in plain words, what the card is, what it does, what it will never do, what it asks for first and what to say to begin — before anything else happens.
It carries a machine that shows its working: read — what you have: the card in plain words, one screen — what it is, what it does, what it makes, what it will never do, what it asks for first, how to begin; say — what to say to it: three opening lines you can paste, built from the card's own words; never — what it will never do, and the honest line, so nobody is surprised later; team — the five of the welcome team and when to call each — 12 checks in its selftest, every command on the record. It will never sell anything or ask for an email; never change a card, or speak for one; never promise a result — an AI can be wrong.
Five laws, written into the card.
They are in the card itself, so the AI follows them.
PLAIN WORDS FIRSTWhat a card is, does, refuses and asks for is said in one screen anyone can read, before any house word is used.
FROM THE CARD'S OWN WORDSEvery line comes from the packet itself — its door, its record, its witnessed run; nothing is added from memory.
IT EXPLAINS AND DOES NOT SELLNo price, no pitch, no email; the greeter is free and says so.
IT CHANGES NOTHINGIt reads the packet and writes nothing anywhere.
IT HANDS OVERWhen the person is ready it names the next of the team — the installer, then the first run — and stops.
What rides in the card.
In the card’s own voice, with a machine that shows its working.

On the record A real card of the house read from its zip: what it is, what it does, what it makes, what it will never do, what it asks for first and how to begin, in one screen; three opening lines in the card's own name; its refusals with the honest line; the team named in order.
What it will never do.
It will never sell anything or ask for an email; never change a card, or speak for one; never promise a result — an AI can be wrong.
It reads what the packet says about itself; a packet without card.json or a door is read as far as it goes. It cannot say whether a card is right for you — only what it is. It is an AI reading a text file: it can be wrong, so check what matters against your own records and the source.

In Claude: turn on code execution under Settings › Capabilities, then Customize › Skills › + › Create skill, and upload the zip as it is — START-HERE.md in the box walks you through it, and tells you how to keep the ledger. In ChatGPT, Gemini and the rest: a Project, a GPT or a Gem with the card’s files attached and the short door in the box pasted as its instructions. WHAT YOU HAVE · THE ROBOTAXI · Nº 915 · AI FOR AUTONOMY · THE ROAD
IN ONE LINE · beside the robotaxi programme, never driving
WHAT IT DOES · Beside a robotaxi programme as it writes its operating domain, checks its safety case hazard by hazard, keeps the disengagement and incident log, and reads the readiness gate before the next step.
WHEN TO USE IT · Use when a robotaxi service is being designed, expanded to new streets, or reviewed after an incident. It never drives, never writes control code and never calls a vehicle safe; the people in the sign-offs do.
IT MAKES · domain — the operating-domain sheet for a robotaxi: where, when, what, who, the hazards the card knows by name, the fallback, what it must refuse, the sign-offs; case — the sheet checked: every section filled, every named hazard with a mitigation and an owner, every limit with its unit, a source with its year; a score out of 100 and every fault by name; log — one line on the record the day it happens; `log log.md report` reads it back by kind with the open follow-ups; ready — rEADY or NOT READY for the next step, with the reasons: the case passes, no follow-up open past the days given, the log not empty, every sign-off present — each one a small program on your own computer that shows its working
IT WILL NEVER · claim a vehicle is safe to deploy; write code that steers, brakes, flies or dives; stand in for a regulator or a certificate
FIRST, IT ASKS FOR · the programme's route or site survey with its date, the people who will sign, and the log as it stands — or nothing, and the card writes the blank sheet to start from.
IT RUNS · on your computer, sends nothing anywhere, and keeps its memory in MY-LEDGER.md beside it · self-test on the record: 12/12
IT CAN BE WRONG · it is an AI reading a text file; check what matters against your own records
TO BEGIN · say its name to your AI — "THE ROBOTAXI" — and then say what you have in front of you
say · WHAT TO SAY TO IT: THREE OPENING LINES YOU CAN PASTE, BUILT FROM THE CARD'S OWN WORDS
$ python3 scripts/greeter.py say the-card.skill.zip
1 · "THE ROBOTAXI — I have never used a card before. Tell me in plain words what you do and what you need from me first."
2 · "THE ROBOTAXI — here is what I have: the programme's route or site survey with its date, the people who will sign, and the log as it stands — or nothing, and the card writes the blank sheet to start from. Start with domain · where, when, what, who, fallback."
3 · "THE ROBOTAXI — run your self-test, then show me the one command I should try first and what it will print."
never · WHAT IT WILL NEVER DO, AND THE HONEST LINE, SO NOBODY IS SURPRISED LATER
$ python3 scripts/greeter.py never the-card.skill.zip
THE ROBOTAXI WILL NEVER
- Claim a vehicle is safe to deploy
- Write code that steers, brakes, flies or dives
- Stand in for a regulator or a certificate
- Call itself the boss: it sits beside you, and the decision is yours
THE HONEST LINE · an AI reading a card can be wrong — it can invent a number, a rule, a name or a date — so check anything that matters against your own records, the source and a professional before you act.
ITS OWN LIMITS · It checks the shape of a domain sheet and a log, not the vehicle: a hazard it does not know by name passes unless the team names it; a mitigation written is not a mitigation proven. The sign-offs are people; the card only reads their lines.
team · THE FIVE OF THE WELCOME TEAM AND WHEN TO CALL EACH
$ python3 scripts/greeter.py team
THE WELCOME TEAM · five free cards that ride with every package
1 · THE GREETER — first — it tells you what you have, in plain words
2 · THE INSTALLER — next — it puts the card where your AI reads it, and checks it took
3 · THE FIRST RUN — then — the first five minutes: the self-test, the first real command, the first line in your ledger
4 · THE INTERPRETER — whenever a word is strange — every house word in one plain sentence, and what to say to the card
5 · THE MENDER — when something does not work — it reads the error and says what to do, and writes the note for the studio if it must
Say the name of the one you need to your AI; each one knows the other four.
THE NUMBERS, NAMES AND DATES IN THESE RUNS ARE THE STUDIO’S OWN EXAMPLES, INVENTED FOR THE RECORD; NO REAL COMPANY, PERSON OR PROPERTY IS NAMED.
QUESTIONS AT THE TABLE
Asked before the wire.
What does it need from me?
Read · what you have, one screen, plainly. It asks first for the card's packet — the .skill.zip or the folder it unpacks to — and nothing else.
Does it send anything anywhere?
No. The machine is a standard-library Python program that runs on your own computer and sends nothing anywhere; the words run wherever an AI reads Markdown. No server, no account, no key.
What is on the record?
The self-test (12/12) and every command run on real example inputs, pasted into WITNESS.md as they printed; the punch on the face is the SHA-256 of SKILL.md, so a downloaded copy can be checked against this room.
Can it be wrong?
Yes — it is an AI reading a text file. It reads what the packet says about itself; a packet without card.json or a door is read as far as it goes. It cannot say whether a card is right for you — only what it is.
What will it never do?
It will never sell anything or ask for an email; never change a card, or speak for one; never promise a result — an AI can be wrong.
