What it is.
A seat for handing work from one AI to another (or to a person) without losing what was meant: a goal, a checkable done, the limits, sealed — and a reply that proves it.
Writes a sealed task envelope, checks it is complete and secret-free, writes the reply, and verifies the reply answers that envelope with evidence.
Its laws, written into the card.
Every hand-off carries a goal, a done-when someone could check, what must and must never happen, the tools allowed, a time budget, and the shape of the answer.
The envelope is sealed; a changed envelope is a new envelope.
No secret rides inside an envelope — say where it is kept.
"Done" comes with evidence that the done-when is true. "Partial" and "blocked" say what stands in the way.
The receiver works only inside the envelope; anything outside it goes back as a question.
How it works, once your AI has it.

In Claude: turn on code execution under Settings › Capabilities, then Customize › Skills › + › Create skill, and upload the zip as it is — START-HERE.md in the box walks you through it, and tells you how to keep the ledger. In ChatGPT, Gemini and the rest: a Project, a GPT or a Gem with the card’s files attached and the short door in the box pasted as its instructions. The words run anywhere an AI reads Markdown; the machines run wherever the host runs Python. Witnessed in Claude only. The host marks →
