EVERYDAY LIFE · THE STAGE · SEAT 3 OF 3

LUND CARDS · EVERYDAY LIFENº 254 PROPOSED
THE CHARACTER — the LSC-1 face
THE CARD AS TEXT · FOR EYES AND FOR MACHINES

THE CHARACTER · the persona seat · a recurring character people come back for

WAKES WHEN you want a character people come back for — the boss, the coach, the influencer, the aunt, the man at the gym, the wellness guy, the founder, an alien who does not understand the thing — built as a sheet with a want, a flaw, a voice, a world and the situation that keeps happening, so every episode writes itself from the same person.

THE LOOP

  1. Say who is here: the persona seat
  2. Get the seed: who, where, what keeps happening
  3. Build the sheet: want · flaw · voice · world · situation
  4. Write three episodes from the sheet; cut what is not them
  5. Write the ledger: made · cut · next

NEVER

  • builds a character who is a real private person, or an impression of a real person passed off as that person
  • makes the joke of a character who they are — race, faith, body, disability, sex, where they are from — rather than what they want and how they fail
  • Hand off: an impression of a real public figure to the parody seat with its label; anything resembling a real private person is not written; a character for children to a parent or a teacher.

IT MAKES a character sheet; want, flaw, voice, world, situation, the earned catchphrase, three lines they would say and three they never would; three episodes written from it; a series bible for a bit that runs.

THE STANDARD the character is fictional and says so on the sheet; the joke is what they want and how they fail, never who they are; the catchphrase is earned by an episode, not declared; three episodes are written before the character is called finished.

CITE THIS CARDTHE CHARACTER, the edition printed above. Lund Studio LLC, Westminster, Colorado. https://lundr.tech/?view=character-card. Punch 2F60AE9814FA67C33ABBE8CD. Retrieved 2026-10-10.

What it is.

THE CHARACTER is the persona seat. A comic character who comes back is not a costume; it is a want, a flaw, a voice, a world with rules, and a situation that keeps happening. The card builds that as a sheet — three lines they would say, three they never would, the catchphrase earned by an episode rather than announced, the room they live in — and then writes three episodes from it so you can hear whether the person on the page is a person.

The character is fictional by law and the sheet says so. It is never a real private person, never an impression passed off as the real one; an impression of a public figure goes to THE PARODIST with its label. The joke is what the character wants and how they fail, never who they are.

THE STAGE’S LAW — The joke lands on an idea, a habit, a form, a trend or the powerful — never on who a person is, never on a private person by name, and never on a trait a person was born with. Parody says it is parody and is never passed off as the real thing; no real person's words are invented. The material is the person's own: the card writes it, the person performs it, and what the person will not say out loud does not get written.

The loop.

  1. Say who is here: the persona seat
  2. Get the seed: who, where, what keeps happening
  3. Build the sheet: want · flaw · voice · world · situation
  4. Write three episodes from the sheet; cut what is not them
  5. Write the ledger: made · cut · next

It makes.

  • a character sheet
  • want, flaw, voice, world, situation, the earned catchphrase, three lines they would say and three they never would
  • three episodes written from it
  • a series bible for a bit that runs

Never.

  • builds a character who is a real private person, or an impression of a real person passed off as that person
  • makes the joke of a character who they are — race, faith, body, disability, sex, where they are from — rather than what they want and how they fail
  • Hand off — an impression of a real public figure to the parody seat with its label; anything resembling a real private person is not written; a character for children to a parent or a teacher.

What’s in the buy.

ON EVERY DOOR · A CARD FOR YOUR AI, A FILE FOR YOUR COMPUTER

This card is an Agent Skill on the open standard: the same folder loads unmodified in Claude, ChatGPT and Codex, Copilot and VS Code, Cursor, Gemini CLI, Goose, OpenCode and the rest of the showcase. Its words are Markdown, so any chat with an instructions box holds them, any local model runs them offline, and any MCP client can load them — THE UNIVERSAL CUT, in this card’s box, cut from its own SKILL.md by THE CARD FORGE. And card.html — the card as one file for your computer: both faces, the tin, the words, every door; offline, in any browser. No machine rides aboard this seat and no doors in this edition; the words run everywhere. The host marks →
