What it is.

Use when a club keeps its training routes: measuring a GPX, logging water, restrooms and parking checked on foot, writing route cards. Not for races or live trail conditions.

It carries a machine that shows its working: measure — distance, gain, loss, high and low points of one GPX track; card — Markdown route card: measured numbers and stops in km order with their check dates; list — every route: measured distance and gain, walked date, stop counts by state; export — routes, measurements and stops with their states, as JSON — 14 checks in its selftest. It never shows an unchecked stop as there; never states a number not measured; never treats a stop as current past its date.

The method.

Measure each route from its GPX file: distance by great-circle steps, climb and descent with a small noise filter, highest and lowest points.
Log each stop — water, restroom, parking, shade, shelter, hazard — at its distance along the route, with the day it was last checked.
Write the route card: the measured numbers, the stops in order with their dates, STALE stops past the window and UNCHECKED stops marked as such.
Keep the vault listed so the club can see every route at once.

What does it need from me?

Your routes as GPX files. Your stops, with the day each was last checked. If something it needs is missing, it says what is missing and stops there.

Does it send anything anywhere?

No. The machine is a standard-library Python program that runs on your own computer and sends nothing anywhere; the words run wherever an AI reads Markdown. No server, no account, no key.

What is on the record?

The machine's selftest (14/14), run from inside the packet in Claude on 2026-10-13 on fictional fixtures and pasted into SELFTEST.md as printed; the twelve-check audit (AUDIT.md). Owed, and said so in WITNESS.md: The 8 test prompts asked in fresh chats with the card installed. Until they are run and scored, the tests are owed. Any run on real data. Every demo file is fictional. The punch on the face is the SHA-256 of SKILL.md, so a downloaded copy can be checked against this room.
