   "Cormac's Glossary, written around the year nine hundred, calls Brigit a goddess whom the poets worshipped, and gives her two sisters of the same name, one a smith and one a healer — three Brigits, or one in three. The Book of Invasions names her the daughter of the Dagda. The Second Battle of Mag Tuired has her keen for her son, the first keening heard in Ireland. That is the whole of the old record on the goddess; the card adds nothing to it.",
